Surprise wedding!

Cousin Stephanie surprised everyone when an engagement party turned into a Wedding.  Olivia was a little sleepy, but made a nice showing.  Momma was dazzling, as you can see.

Anyone still checking in?

Livvy's first trip to the Dentist!  Seems that she has inherited Daddy's tiny mouth and her mouth is already getting a bit crowded.  One piece of bad news:  The Paci fairy is set to make a visit to our home next month.

More Canada

ahhh Canada

I know you all are shocked to see the blog resurrected! At the encouragement of our dear friends Andy and Rachel who we got to visit with this week (they live in San Fran right now but are in town for some PCA church planting testing!), I decided it was TIME to bet my bloggin bootie in gear.
We spent an amazing few days up in Canmore, Canada in Alberta. Can you believe the color of the water? It even snowed! Olivia had a great time with Nano, and we got some great time with Uncle Jim.

Sims

We had the Sims over for chicken on the egg recently. For those of you out of the loop (or subculture)
that is short for the Big Green Egg that Ben received for Christmas, and is now, much to his wife's delight,
obsessed with. The chicken was fantastic, by the way.

old friends

We had a great (but too short) visit with our seminary friends the Pelanders.
Here is Liv with Lily, Sam, and baby Jonah. We wish they could play together more often.
And we were amazed at watching these fine parents harmoniously juggle three children 3 & under.
In these intense situations, it seems at least one has a stinky in need of changing every 10 minutes or so.
They are champs.

Shout out to Aunt Jane

So, those of you who gave up on the blog and were quite tired of Belvis... who could be tired of Belvis? You ask. Well, we're back and will try to be better about updating regularly. Here are some of our recent favorites. We are having a blast and rest assured, our sweet little munchkin is right on track for being 2 months shy of 2 years old. Favorite word:NO.

So we decided to go to a costume party with some church folks we don't know so well in attempt to get to know them better, and Ben decides that the Elvis, chest-hair revealing, costume would be a great icebreaker. Way to go, babe, we won the prize for best costume.... A FREE NIGHT OF BABYSITTING.

There's a slight obsession...

...With feeding Tap. Much to his merriment. We've discovered that toddlerhood brings with it a succession of obsessions. Right now: sitting in the drivers seat of our cars, playing "swimming pool" on the bed, and all things NANA.

December was so much fun for our family- here is a visit with Jess's good friend Emily from college and her little sweetie, Violet. The train at the botanical gardens was a big hit with the munchkins. Santa... not so much. But isn't he the prettiest eco-Santa you've seen? He could use a few more cookies, though.
